The deadline for the HTTPS switch is just weeks away, are you ready?
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP. From the beginning of October 2017, Chrome will show a ‘Not Secure’ warning on ALL websites when a user enters data on an HTTP page. If your site is being viewed using Chrome’s ‘incognito mode’, this warning will show all the time.
If you haven’t switched yet, your website could be at risk.
What does it mean for my site?
All sites can come under scrutiny. If your website asks users to input any form of data, your website will be served a ‘Not Secure’ message.
If you don’t switch, you may see a fall in traffic and conversions on your website as it will be viewed as ‘untrustworthy’ in the eyes of Google.
How do I switch my site?
If you do not have the technical skills and knowledge, changing to HTTPS can be a confusing and complex process.
The time to implement this varies depending on the size of your site. Get in contact with us to discuss how we can switch your site before the October deadline.
